Steve has 37 years of experience in corporate executive and entrepreneurial
business leadership roles ranging from sales and marketing, manufacturing,
distribution, executive management, business ownership, and real estate
development. From 1983 to 1998, Steve served what is now Cardinal Healthcare
Corporation in sales management, marketing, and corporate accounts roles. In
1998, he joined Aladdin Industries, an international sales, manufacturing, and
distribution company with annual revenue in excess of $200 million, and held
positions of VP of Sales, GM, and CEO. In 2002, Steve founded Tri-Core,
Inc., a joint venture with Ace Hardware Corporation, and launched, operated, and
acquired full ownership of a 7-store retail chain in middle and east Tennessee.
He also developed and commercialized a staffing optimization software tool and
sold it to Ace Hardware Corporation. In 2017, he sold his retail and software
businesses and conceived and launched the GoDog premium pet hospitality
chain. Steve lives in Nashville, has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the
Haslam College of Business at University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has two
college-aged boys, Harrison and Stephen, and wife of twenty-five years, Hayden.
Steve has in-depth knowledge and experience with a wide variety of commercial, industrial, and residential transactions. His experience spans purchase and sale negotiations, 1031 exchanges, residential and commercial development, re-zoning, lease negotiations, traditional and private equity funding, pro-forma financial analysis, comparative and competitive market analysis, joint venture formation, and construction management.
